Grupo Arcor presented a market research on the expectations of Argentines regarding the production and consumption of food, prepared by the consulting firm Trendsity. The sample included 1,000 cases in Argentina, with a universe made up of men and women who decide to purchase food for the home, with a broad average level of 18 to 65 years old.
According to the study, 92% of the people surveyed consider it important that a brand in the sector is transparent and provides clear and accessible information. In this sense, the report revealed that 6 out of 10 Argentines claim that food companies in the country make their sustainability and production practices little visible.
As for quality, 63% believe that it is associated with good flavor and freshness, while 57% consider that it is linked to safe production processes and 51% note that it is related to knowing the origin of raw materials and ingredients.
In addition, 8 out of 10 consumers value production in harmony with nature. The survey showed that 82% give relevance to brands that protect and respect biodiversity and ecosystems, and choose food brands that have a positive social impact.
Mariela Mociulsky, Partner Director of Trendsity, stressed that there is a paradigm shift and that the future of food is already happening, led by increasingly conscious and responsible consumers.
